Cole Henley table barbecues are safe to use with either briquettes or lump wood charcoal but our recommendation is to use our own carbon neutral Lump wood Hazel Charcoal.

This is partly because of the taste this imparts to the food. More importantly however, it is also because our charcoal is derived from fully sustainable sources. Hazel coppice charcoal is an indigenous biomass fuel. It is produced from forestry materials, as a by-product of other forestry activities (primarily Hampshire’s extensive forestry management programmes).

Hazel grows incredibly quickly and the carbon dioxide absorbed by this re-growth off sets the emissions created in both the making and burning of the charcoal.
